One Pokémon, a growing crowd of enemies, and absolutely no time for a snack break. That's the situation in PokéSurvivor, a fan-made browser game that swaps traditional turn-based battles for nonstop survival action. Your Pokémon attacks without waiting for commands, while you steer it through the mess and hunt for useful upgrades. Fans of Vampire Survivors will recognize the screen-filling chaos, but Pokémon-style abilities and held items give each run its own flavor. The game is free to play online, with no download needed. All you have to do is jump in and try not to get cornered!

At first, defeating enemies and collecting experience seems easy enough. Keep playing, though, and the arena gets much busier. Every level-up gives you a chance to choose an ability or improve one you already have. Those decisions matter because stronger enemies will eventually put your build to the test.
Your attacks happen automatically, so there's no need to keep pressing a combat key. Instead, watch where enemies are gathering, move through open spaces, and collect experience whenever it's safe. Bosses are important targets, too, because their chests can help you unlock evolved skills.
Here's how to move your Pokémon around the arena:
WASD: Use W, A, S, and D to move up, left, down, and right.
Arrow Keys: Move in any of the four directions using the keyboard arrows.
Mouse: Hold the left mouse button and move the mouse to steer your character.
Attacking: Your Pokémon attacks automatically. Focus on dodging and positioning.
Don't dash toward every experience drop you see. If a crowd is blocking the way, circle and look for a safer opening.
The fun isn't just about surviving another wave. It's also about discovering which abilities work well together.
Some active skills can evolve when you reach Level 5 and obtain their matching passive skill or held item. After meeting those requirements, defeat a boss and collect its chest to trigger the evolution. Items can provide extra elemental power as well. Charcoal boosts compatible Fire-type attacks, while Mystic Water helps strengthen Water-type damage.
Keep an eye on your upgrade choices as you level up. A carefully assembled build can deal with large enemy groups much more effectively than a collection of unrelated skills.
Put early gold to work. Kelimon’s Shop has permanent upgrades, including increased gold drops and pickup magnet range. These are worth considering before spending too much on gacha pulls.
Don't ignore research. Complete research missions to work toward the Shiny Charm and improve your chances of finding Shiny variants.
Build with a purpose. Choose abilities and items that complement each other, especially when preparing for tougher waves.
Save Endless Mode for experimentation. Once your build can hold its own, longer runs offer opportunities to gather exclusive currency and high-tier upgrade materials.
Some runs will end sooner than you'd like. Others might surprise you with an excellent combination of skills and items. That's part of the appeal: there's always another build to test and another survival record to chase. Choose your Pokémon, keep moving, and see how long you can last when the arena fills up.
